Ski Race live from DA42

The weekend from 20th to 22nd of January was all about the famous Hahnenkamm Ski Race, taking place in Kitzbühel, Austria. Diamond’s aerial platform was chosen because of being not only quieter and significantly cheaper to operate than a traditional helicopter but also being able to stay continuously airborne during the whole event. 

Diamond Airborne Sensing provided HD live videos for Austria’s national broadcaster ORF in 4 hour nonstop missions. The DA42 MPP GUARDIAN, equipped with a Cineflex V14 HD and a RIEDEL HD downlink system, streamed thrilling tv images to millions around the world.
